Although the measurement principles of different coating thickness testers are different, the basic operation is not very different. Users can quickly measure the thickness of the steel plate coating or the aluminum plate coating in the following way.
Press the switch button on the coating thickness meter with your finger to turn it on. The backlit display screen will display when it is turned on, and the buzzer will also prompt. If the power of the paint thickness measuring instrument is insufficient, a low-battery alarm will be issued.
Both single-point calibration and multi-point calibration can be used to accurately calibrate the instrument.
After the instrument is calibrated, you can start measuring, and you only need to press the measurement key. There are a variety of measurement modes to choose from, including single-point measurement, continuous measurement, etc. The users can choose the measurement mode by themselves.
Single measurement: every time the measuring probe touches the measured piece, a measurement result will be displayed with a bleep;
Continuous measurement: dynamic measurement is conducted without lifting the measuring probe, and there is no buzzing during measurement. There is continuous display of measurement results on the screen.
In particular, different types of coating thickness meters are suitable for measuring different substrates. Fe-based probes are used for iron-based coating measurement, and NFe-based probes are used for aluminum-based coating measurement. Users should not be confused in this regard when measuring.
